Chris Regis, Attorney for the City of Joliet, turned over some documents to the Plaintiff’s attorneys today. Regis claims that Joliet does not have any other traffic studies other than a 2020 draft traffic study provided to Plaintiff’s attorneys that he called “obsolete” and no environmental impact studies. Yet, Joliet’s City Council plans to proceed with hearings on December 21st and vote on approving this massive project with or without environmental or traffic studies. … Read more →
A Stop NorthPoint leader said he received an old draft of a traffic impact study from a Joliet city attorney before the first court hearing in his transparency lawsuit against the city.

One of the founders of Stop Northpoint is suing the City of Joliet to obtain any traffic studies concerning the new Northpoint plan ahead of a Dec. 21 City Council vote.

On December 7th an emergency motion was filed to compel Joliet to release the NorthPoint traffic studies by Joliet before any hearings on NorthPoint’s annexation can be conducted.

Opponents to NorthPoint Development’s plan for a Joliet logistics park said the developer has urged state officials to resurrect a scaled-down version of the Illiana Expressway to gain a route to another intermodal 30 miles away.
